With over 25 years of experience, his expertise ranges from technical design and implementation of multiple Emergency Services IP Networks (ESINets) and Computer-Aided Dispatch Systems to offensive security, penetration testing, intrusion countermeasures, and digital forensics.He spent 12 years working in the public safety sector, deploying and managing cybersecurity programs. Jared developed a custom Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) System to continually monitor for cybersecurity intrusions. He also conceived and built numerous Computer-Aided Dispatch Systems in the state’s Northeast region so that 9-1-1 centers could share dispatch technology, infrastructure, and personnel.There’s also a long list of certifications from EC-Council, Cisco, NOKIA, VESTA, Motorola, Microsoft, Hurricane Electric, LevelBlue, AlientVault, and Texas A&M National Emergency Response and Recovery Training Center (DHS/FEMA). In 2024, he added an Emergency Number Professional certification from the National Emergency Number Association (NENA).Jared has lectured on cybersecurity at the Pennsylvania chapter of NENA’s annual conference, the Pennsylvania chapter of the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO), the Enterprise Wireless Alliance annual leadership conference, and the NENA national conference. Jared has also led cybersecurity tabletop exercises for FEMA.Since 2012, he’s served on the board of directors and in advisory roles of several non-profit organizations including Make Lehigh Valley and other STEM-focused community organizations.
